Londoners at Home

Londoners at Home was photographed from 1971-74 when I lived in London. I was, and continue to be, driven by my desire to photograph the poignancy of everyday people, as opposed to the cosmeticized people who are held up as the ideal. Each individual reveals the world in their face and posture, cosmetics are optional.

Londoners was photographed with a Hasselblad Superwide on a tripod. I was embarrassingly close to the subject of each photograph. The prints are selenium toned silver prints, approximately 15” square.
